Narayan Gangopadhyay (February 4, 1978 – November 6, 1970) was an Indian-Bengali fiction writer. His actual name was Tarak Nath Gangopadhyay. He started writing since his childhood, he regularly wrote in magazines like Sandesh, Mukul, Pathshala, Shuktara etc. His literary career began with poetry writing, after then he began to write stories and novels. His first published novel for adults ‘Uponibesh’ was print in the monthly magazine ‘Bharatbarsha’ and it was published as book in 1943. He has immortal fame for his creation of novels and short stories for adults. But he has also reputation for the children literature. Padma Patar Din, Lalmati, Tara Photar samay, Khushir Haoya, Charmurtir Abhijan, Panchanoner Hati are also best children’s stories and new additions to Bengali children’s literature. Notable books for adults are- Ektala, Kala Bodar, Gandharaj, Trafi, Boitalik, Bidisha, Swarna Sita, Mahananda, Bhatiali, Bidushak etc. He created many delightful composition, now I want to share with you a collection book of his written Ramya rachana.
