Probhat Kumar Mukhopadhyay was born on February 3, 1873, at his maternal uncle’s home in Bardhaman but father residance was Gurup in Hoogly district. He began his literacy travel as a poet and his first written Poetry quiz was ‘Abhishap’. After then he wrote many stories and novels, his writing story compilation was twelve and there were 118 stories in the compilation. Notable works are novels: Ramasundary, Nabin Sannyasi, Ratnadip, Jiboner Mulya, Sindur Kouta, Moner Manush, Arati, Satyabala, Sukher Milan, Satir Pati, Pratima, Nabo Durga etc. short stories: Nabo-Katha, Shorashi, Galpanjali, Galpabithi, Patrapuspa, Gohonar Baxo, Bilasini, Natun Bou, Jamata Babaji etc. He left the earth on April 5, 1932. Now I want to share with you a Bangla story collection book of his written name ‘Probhat Kumar Mukhopadhyayer Shrestha Galpo’ which is edited by Jagadish Bhattacharya.
