Himanish Goswami (Born:- 18.3.1926 – Died:- 14.3.2012) born at Faridpur in Bangladesh (present day). His father- Parimal Goswami was a renowned literary-journalist and newspaper editor. Himanish Babu studied in Kolkata. And he was working in the Indian High Commission in London from 1950 to 1957. 1972-86 worked in the editorial section of Anandabazar. He was a regular cartoonist of ‘Shankar’s Weekly’. He received all Indian honor in child literature. He got also the Eastern Kala Kendra Award in 2001. He has written more than a hundred books. Notable works are among them- ‘Kittu Lahirir Tin Kirti’, ‘Mojar Khela Daba’, ‘Boro Gosayer Bandhu’, ‘
