In the last few decades, the Bengali writers who have become as truth-seekers as Byomkesh Bakshi, they have pondered over two issues while trying to unravel the mystery of Chaitanya’s disappearance. First, the death of Chaitanyadev is normal or abnormal, if it is abnormal then is an accidental or planned murder; Second, what exactly was done with the mortal body of Chaitanya or where it was buried.
Chaitanya Dev’s biography refers to those that were written in the Middle Ages in three main languages — Bengali, Sanskrit and Oriya. Although there are different facts or ambiguities about the death of Mahaprabhu, no doubt or mystery has been revealed anywhere. Of course, some may say that this skepticism is a sign of modernity.
However, there is no hint of murder in the context of the disappearance in any ‘Chaitanyajivani’ written in the Middle Ages.

A Chaitanya devotee Oriya poet named Madhav Patnaik who witnessed Mahaprabhu very closely. Madhav wrote two books about Mahaprabhu, ‘Chaitanyabilas’ (1516), and ‘Vaishnavalilamrta’ (1535).
Although these books by Madhav Patnaik was not directly translated into Bengali, in 1990 Vishnupada Panda wrote a book based on the Oriya books named ‘Sri Chaitanyer Dibyojibon O Agnyato Tirodhan Porba’.- References: soutipatrika. com/919-2/
