In Bengali literature, author Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay has written a number of history-style stories. The book, Jatismar (1933), is one of them. Besides, he wrote ‘Kaler Mandira’, Gour Mollar’, Tumi Sandyar Megh’, Tungabhadrar Tire’, etc.
The author was very interested in the ‘Jatismar’ (who can remember the incidents of one’s former lives) issue. There are several articles on this topic.
