Feluda Samagra – Pradosh Chandra Mitra alias Feluda is a popular fictional detective character in Bengali literature created by Satyajit Ray who was an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, art director, music director, and writer. The first story in the Feluda series, “Feludar Goyendagiri”, was published in Sandesh in December 1965. From 1965 to 1997, a total of 35 complete and four incomplete stories and novels were published in this series. Feluda’s chief assistant is his cousin Tapesh Ranjan Mitra alias Topse and a writer name- Lalmohan Ganguly (pseudonym Jatayu).

Satyajit Ray filmed Feluda’s novels ‘Sonar Kella’ and ‘Joy Baba Felunath’. The legendary film actor Soumitra Chatterjee played the role of Feluda in these two films. Currently, Satyajit’s son Sandeep Roy has made television serials and films based on Feluda’s stories and novels.
