Bimal Kar (19 September 1921 – 26 August 2003) was an Indian-Bengali renowned author. ‘Ambikanather Mirtyu’ was his first short story, written in 1944 AD and published in Probartak Patrika. His first collection of short stories ‘Baraf Saheber Maye’ was published in 1954. Some of his written stories have been created to the movie, for example, Basanta Bilap, Balika Badu, Jodubansha, etc. He wrote many short stories and wrote novels for teenagers.
