Rajshekhar Basu (March 16, 1880 – April 27, 1960) was a prominent Indian Bengali literary writer, translator, chemist and, dictionary–maker. He is best known for his satirical and humorous stories under the ‘Parshuram’ pseudonym. In addition to storytelling, he gained popularity by composing the ‘Kalidaser Meghdut’, ‘Balmiki Ramayan’ (saranubad), ‘Mahabharata by Krishnadaipayan Bedabyas’ (saranubad), ‘Srimadbhagavadgita’, etc. and which are published by his real name Rajshekhar Basu.
