Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky was born on November 11, 1821, in Moscow, Russia. This Russian genius was simultaneously a novelist, short story writer, essayist, journalist, and philosopher. The main theme of his writing was agitated politics and exploring human psychology in social and spiritual contexts. Most of his novels and stories have been written especially in the background of twentieth-century Russia. His writings are a mixture of philosophical and religious thought.
Dostoevsky’s notable works include ‘Crime and Punishment’ (1866), ‘The Idiot’ (1869), ‘Demons’ (1872), and ‘The Brothers Karamzov’ (1880).
Dostoevsky also left eleven novels, three nouvelle, sixteen short novels, and many other literary works for readers.
His literary works have been translated into more than 180 languages around the world. And many famous novelists and philosophers have been inspired by his writings.
Now I want to share a translated book of his three novels. Translated into Bangla by Nani Bhowmik who was a Bengali leftist writer, journalist and translator.
