Jibanananda Das (18 February 1899 – 22 October 1954) (6 Falgun, 1305 – 5 Kartik, 1361 BS) One of the most prominent modern Bengali poets of the twentieth century. He is the foremost among modern pioneers in Bengali poetry and he is called “purest poet” (Shuddhotomo Kobi).

‘Dhusar Pandulipi’ is the second poetry-book of poet Jibanananda Das. This poetry book was published in India in 1936 (1345 BS). Jibanananda dedicates this book to poet Buddhadeb Basu. Many readers believe that ‘Dhusar Pandulipi’ was the first poetry book by which Bangla began the journey of modern poetry.
