Ramesh Chandra Dutta (born on August 13, 1848- deth on November 30, 1909) was one of the best novelist in Bankimyug.He wrote a notable book about Indian economy- ‘Economic History of India’ and under the pen name ‘ARCYDE’ he began writing about praja swatwa in the ‘Bengal Magazine’ which is edited by Lalbihari dey. In 1874, his another book The Peasantry of Bengal was published. And he also translated ‘Rigveda’ in Bengali language.
